Golden Globes SHOCKER: Atonement gets Best Picture

It was all going according to plan - Day-Lewis for Best Actor, Julie Christie Best Actress, the foreign bloke getting a gong for No Country For Old Men, which was then supposed to go on and bag Best Motion Picture (drama). But then it didn't. Instead, the chap reading the list of awards with all the panache and style of Anne Robinson dictating the Lord's prayer to a class of Welsh speakers, confirmed that Atonement - the dripping wet tale of people being accused of rapes they didn't do - had nipped in to steal the big prize. The Oscar market has just been thrown wide open.
